A huge thank you to the Judicial Appointments Commission and all those who attended tonight
MALA's first webinar was organised within 48 hours with tremendous support from the Judicial Appointments Committee and St Philips Chambers. The short space for judicial competitions means organisations have only a short time to arrange any events about them. However, the JAC showed its dedication to widening access to its competitions with a commitment to providing speakers in a very short space of time.
There were over 55 prospective (or actual) applicants in attendance from across the legal profession, with some also from academia. The webinar featured over 40 minutes of questions for the panel, which comprised His Honour Judge Afzal, MALA President and Circuit Judge; Rachel Billingham, Senior Selection Exercise Team Manager, Judicial Appointments Commission; and Kira Jainudeen, Senior Operational Delivery Manager, Judicial Appointments Commission.
