Our 18th Annual Ball

The MALA Ball is the legal community's night to actually let loose. Great food, a huge dance floor, minimal speeches and maximum fun, get your black tie or Asian wear ready for a night out with colleagues, clients, even the competition.

Keynote Speaker

Harpreet Sandhu KC

Harpreet Sandhu KC was born and raised in the West Midlands.  He took silk in his fifteenth year of practice in 2022.  In the same year, he was elected a Bencher of Gray’s Inn.
 
In October 2024, Harpreet became the Leader of the Midland Circuit (one of the six circuits of England and Wales).  He is the first Asian leader of any circuit.  Diversity and inclusion have been prominent themes of his work during his term of office.
 
Harpreet practises in criminal law, with a particular focus on homicide, terrorism and organised crime cases, from No5 Barristers’ Chambers.  He has appeared in several high-profile cases.  He is ranked as a leading silk by Chambers UK and Legal 500.
