About the event
MALA invites you to an event focusing on the 3rd April 2019 deadline for new Judicial Applications (for Deputy District Judge and First Tier Tribunal Judge).
JAC and a recently appointed judge will share their insight into the competition and provide information on the application process. This will be followed by a Q & A.
- From JAC, Rachael Gourley, Senior Engagement and Insight Manager, will give a presentation about the competition, the application process and the competencies JAC look for in applicants.
- Naomi Candlin, a newly appointed Deputy District Judge and barrister at St Philips Chambers, will provide an insight into a successful application and how best applicants can prepare for the competition.
- District Judge Afzal OBE will also speak about the working life of a Judge.
This competition has been announced with very short notice and, as a result, MALA has arranged this event at equally short notice to ensure that those wishing to apply have an opportunity to hear from JAC.
