Professional Development
At MALA, we're passionate about inspiring young people from all backgrounds to consider a career in law.
Led by practising solicitors, barristers, and judges, our sessions help students understand what a career in law involves, the routes into the profession, and the importance of representation.
Advocacy & Representation
Our aim is to promote diversity and equality across the legal profession. We celebrate Asian lawyers and represent their interests in the community.
We promote the legal profession to BME children and schools with largely BME or inner-city areas encouraging young people into the profession.

From its inception, MALA has united solicitors and barristers under one committee, promoting collaboration and inclusivity. Our events remain open to everyone, with attendance typically balanced between BME and non-BME professionals, reflecting our core belief that diversity strengthens the whole profession.
