About the event
No5 Barristers' Chambers and MALA present breakfast seminar providing a timely reminder of the non-court dispute resolution options available across the spectrum of family law. Sir Andrew McFarlane, President of the Family Division, has opened a consultation on proposed reforms to Family Court procedures, with a strong and specific emphasis on promoting alternative dispute resolution where possible.
There can be no doubt that the current strain on the Family Court is unsustainable, with long delays being detrimental to the welfare of children and parents alike. Delays in the hearing of financial remedy cases are costly and stressful for all involved. During this seminar, which will cover mediation, arbitration, neutral evaluations and private FDRs, we will look at how you can maximise all the options available and obtain the best outcomes for your clients.
